The Professional Poultry Class (KPU) of the Animal Science Department, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science (FPP) University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) is a learning program specifically designed to produce graduates who have high competence, so that they can business and work on industry well. KPU students only specifically study poultry business management. This program was born against the background of two concerns, namely: first, animal science graduates do not have good competencies so they have difficulty to join in the industry. Second, between the universities as producers of educated workers and the industry as users, there has never been real collaboration in building competent human resources.
Based on these concerns, in 2018, the Animal Science Department UMM dared to capture the desires and challenges of PT. Charoen Pokphand, who at that time was represented by Mr. Ir. Agung Budiyanto, IPU and PT. Jatinom Indah Agri, represented by Mr. Hidayaturrahman, SE, to collaborate to build a learning system capable of producing animal science graduates who have high competency so they are ready to join in the industry well.
